Action Plan for Social Networks

I recently taught a class titled "Internet Social Networking for Realtors" in West Los Angeles. There were lots of questions and the students were very excited about the subject matter, but many seemed a bit overwhelmed by all of the different options available. Where do I start? Which Social Network is best for me? Unfortunately, I didn't have an easy one-size-fits-all answer for them. Each agent needs to examine their business plan, recognize what their area of expertise is, and draft a specific strategy based on time and budget considerations.

I did create an "Action Plan" that applies some universal concepts to a social networking strategy. Here it is:

  • Secure more clients by utilizing your internet tools
  • Your Website, Your Blog, Your Lead Capture Forms
  • Social Networks: Friends, Groups, Discussions
  • Increase website traffic through marketing
  • Set Up Multiple Social Network Accounts
  • Add your Website Address to Profile
  • Add Website Address to Discussions & Blogs
  • Update Your Content on a Regular Basis
  • Blog, Discussions, Photos, Videos, etc.
